December 2025

AC. We close the year by reflecting on American Cyborg's first decade, considering what has endured, what has changed, and what we might leave behind. We make room for the next chapter without insisting that everything be resolved.

RO. We consider the importance of maintenance, continuity, and rest in technological systems. A sustainable archive should be able to survive periods of inactivity, preserving its contents without demanding constant attention from its caretakers.

EX. We think about winter as a period of dormancy rather than absence. Beneath the frozen ground, living systems continue their quiet work. Perhaps unfinished thoughts and abandoned projects also need time to rest before they can begin growing again.

PG. We consider the spaces between exhibitions, when artworks return to storage, conversations become memories, and the gallery grows quiet. What remains of a gathering after its participants have departed?

BC. We turn toward the winter landscapes of the fifty states, considering migration, hibernation, and the seasonal rhythms that shape the lives of plants, animals, and people. Even the most familiar places become strange when the seasons change.
