November 2026

In November, we begin establishing a regular publishing schedule across all five sectors. The American Cyborg blog will serve as a monthly overview, connecting our administrative work, creative projects, and ongoing research. We'll also continue organizing the artwork archive and improving the new website one section at a time.

Following October's arborist consultation, we'll document the project and return to the development of The Forest Shaper's Handbook. Our goal is to translate the emerging conceptual framework into a more concrete presentation, while continuing to explore the relationship between physical observation, pattern languages, and local-first software.

This month, we'll continue developing The Forest Shaper's Handbook through research, writing, and field notes from Lilypad. The ongoing mugwort-clearing project offers a practical setting in which to investigate the relationship between landscape, labor, observation, and design. We'll also work toward a more consistent schedule of shorter journal entries.

With the first pass of all twelve salon pages complete, November offers an opportunity to revisit the exhibitions in greater detail. We'll continue developing A Gathering of Clouds, incorporate Petrel's cloud photographs, and begin a second pass through the salon archive, paying closer attention to individual artworks, images, and exhibition documentation.

After completing the fifty-state Atlas migration, we'll turn our attention to the next stage of Big Cypress: expanding the shop, refining the presentation of our state-inspired merchandise, and developing new writing around the books, songs, and regional traditions represented in the Atlas. With the underlying structure complete, the project can become a continuing exploration rather than a migration checklist.
